Following American models, all IMADEC University® programs are composed of a "Core Curriculum" and "Electives" with transferable "Academic Units". According to guidelines one Academic Unit is defined as twelve academic hours of instruction (1 academic hour = 45 minutes).
The Core Curriculum of the International MLE program consists of 10 intensive 4 day sessions, earning 40 Academic Units. The completion of a minimum of three additional Electives with 12 Academic Units is required. The creation and the successful defense of the International MLE Master's Thesis merits an additional 5 Academic Units. The International MLE program accounts for 57 Units.
IMADEC University® offers, aside from the Core Curriculum, several Electives not only in selected topics in Economics and Sociology, but also in the fields of US, EU and International Law. All Electives are designed as advanced and specialized instructions, to deepen and up-date the Core Curriculum and to assist in the research undertaken for the Master's Thesis. Classes are taught by either regular IMADEC University® faculty or part-time faculty of international reputation and carry academic units. Consonant to the faculty's availability, applications to Electives are accepted any time.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
The successful completion of 57 units (i.e. 40 units core curriculum, at least 12 units in Electives of further specialization, and 5 units for the successful defense of the Master's Thesis) leads to an International MLE Degree, that will be awarded by IMADEC University, Vienna.
To qualify for an International MLE Degree, students need to conclude all courses with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of B or better.
Please note: A distinctive, noted, and indispensable feature of IMADEC University's academic programs is the writing of a Master's Thesis and its oral defense.
