Advocacy: Communication, Influence, and Internal Marketing Customer Loyalty Strategies Handling Communication Challenges Recipient of major campus-wide teaching award at the University of Texas at Austin as well as awards for teaching within both the College of Business Administration (Outstanding Executive Education Teacher) and the College of Communication (Outstanding Professor).
Non-academic Positions held:
President of the National Communication Association President of the Council of Communication Societies Board of Directors of both the International Communication Association and the International Customer Service Association Consultant of more than 200 firms in more than 15 countries helping them bolster their communication and enhance customer loyalty. On the editorial boards of nine journals. In the governmental arena worked with the White House (Executive Office of the President) designing and implementing a major customer service initiative as well as numerous Federal, State, and local government units throughout the United States on topics related to communication, advocacy, and service.
