The Marketplace simulation is designed for business courses related to new venture development. It exposes the participant to all the aspects of business. Teams will step back in time and compete against each other introducing personal computers around the world over a two year (8 quarter) period. The first year acts as the start up and test market period; the second year is a time for expansion and consolidation. The simulation allows teams to find funding, design and launch PCs, hire/manage personnel, estimate demand and build/manage manufacturing plant capacity, complete R&D/licensing projects, and make marketing decisions such as segment choices, product design/management, pricing, distribution, and promotion. www.meetattexas.com
